Migration: A possible 1920 census record places him in Alpharetta, Milton County. By 1930, he appears to have been living with his son Willie Strickland in Crossville, Milton County.12 13

Son Willie Strickland may have remained in Forsyth County longer than many Black residents who were driven out after 1912. Additional research is needed to determine whether Willie was living on or near the same Land Lots 999 and 1000 after the expulsion.14
